Overview

A heavy or sagging brow can make you appear tired, angry or older than you feel. A brow lift raises the brow to a more youthful position and softens the frown and horizontal lines of the forehead.

The results open up the upper face and complement the eyes, often enhancing the results of eyelid surgery.

Is it right for you?

You may be a good candidate if the following describe you:

  • Your brows have descended or sit low over the eyes.
  • You have deep forehead or frown lines.
  • You look tired or stern even when you are relaxed.
  • You are a non-smoker in good overall health.

How the procedure works

Dr. Whitlock will use a technique suitable to your features to lift your brow and smooth forehead lines. Incisions will be placed either within or along the hairline so that they are not visible.

Eyelid surgery is commonly performed in conjunction with a brow lift to provide a balanced rejuvenation to the upper face.

Common questions

Brow Lift questions

Answers to questions patients ask most about this procedure.
How is a brow lift different from Botox?
Botox relaxes muscles to smooth lines temporarily. A brow lift physically lifts the brow for a more permanent result. Both are commonly used at different times.
Will my hairline change?
Incisions will be placed to maintain your hairline. Dr. Whitlock will discuss the best technique for your hairline and forehead height.
